A day of delights! As well as the usual Threads’ activities (sew and chat, materials to purchase and books to borrow), the main focus of the meeting was “Take One Stitch”, the aim being to produce small squares covered in stitches such as bullion and fly stitch. These are to be used to create a large column for the summer installation at our 2023 exhibition at Croome. In addition, examples of creations for the winter pogogi screen and a swathe of ivy were shown prior to their installation at Croome, Sian organised a needle felting session where realistic robins were made and, of course, there were the usual Christmas treats!
