This was an inspirational talk by Jenniffer Taylor highlighting her life’s journey involving textiles.
Her experiences at being chosen for the Great British Sewing Bee were fascinating and gave an insight into how demanding the selection process was.
From that point she has dedicated her life to encourage and enthuse others to the joy of textiles.
Her enthusiastic approach continued into the teaching of Sashiko in the workshop session.
Each stitch taught was informed by the historical background which gave an idea how the mending of textiles played such an important part in Japanese life.
